Connection and Getting Started

How do I log in after receiving the activation link?
After receiving your activation link, go to the  Wildflyer  website.
On the login page, enter your email address:
You will then receive a 5-digit code by email:
Warning Tip: the email may sometimes end up in the spam or junk folders. Be sure to check those folders if you don't see it right away!
Do I need to join the team or download the link?

What should I do if the activation code I received is invalid?
LuLucie is this about the activation link or the 5-digit code the user gets to verify their email? AnAna Yes, someone asked me where I get the code? And how long the link is valid.

Understanding the Tool

How do I add the locations I want to monitor?
After clicking on the Forecast tab, you have two ways to add a location:
    Use the search bar
    Right-click on the map to add a POI
Once the point is created, save it in the left panel by clicking the Save button: the pin then changes from green to blue.
You can then add it to your organization:
And there you go, you can now track the weather data for your location!
To edit or delete a point, click on the three little dots on the right, then choose Rename or Delete.
How do I change the map background?
In the top right corner of the map, click on the light square with a map: you will be able to choose the type of map background you prefer.
Tip : you can also show or hide the names of the cities :)
How to activate the wind direction layer on the map?
Go to the layers, at the top right of the map, and check Wind: small arrows will appear on the map!
Tip: you can also add the pressure isobars
How do I use the timeline bar at the bottom of the map?
The timeline at the bottom of the map allows you to scroll through the weather forecasts for the index you selected in the left menu.
At the top right of the menu, you can change the forecast range, between Today and +7 days.
Once you have made your choice, move the slider on the timeline: the map will then display the corresponding forecasts for the coming days.
The two icons on your chart to the left help you navigate better:
  • The blue map indicates the exact time of the displayed forecast on the chart.
  • The black clock shows the current time and allows you to track the evolution of the forecasts.
How do I switch modes? (day/night)
In the Settings tab, represented by a gear in the top right:
Then choose your display mode on this bar:
  • Light mode
  • Automatic mode (adapts to your computer's mode)
  • Dark mode
How do I change the language of my session?
  • Go to Profile (bottom left).
  • Open Language settings.
  • Select your preferred language.

How do I enable notifications for a location?

How do I modify the forecast models? (editor only)
  • Go to parameters (bottom left).
  • Go to the weather tab
  • Adjust your model or choose your preferred model
How do I add team members? (editor only)
  • Go to parameters (bottom left).
  • Go to the team tab
  • Click on invite (top right)
  • complete the requested information and the role.
How do I change the danger rating? (editor only)
  • Go to parameters (bottom left).
  • Go to the indices tab

Click on the index you want to customize:
  • you can enable or disable the index
  • Choose the data sources
  • Edit classes (removal and modification of classes and colors)
Can I rename the municipality of a fire?
How can I find past fires?
  • Click on the following icon (top left)
On this screen:
  • on the left, the past lights are mapped
  • on the right, the list
You have the option to sort by category, date, and causes (if the data has been completed).

How can I check the weather parameters of a past fire?

How do I add an ongoing fire?
  • Click on live:
  • Press the "+": create an incident
  • Place it on the map
  • Draw the fire's origin and the fire's footprint (or upload it there)
How can I search past fires by municipality name? By date?
  • Click on the following icon (top left)
On this screen:
  • on the left, the past lights are mapped
  • on the right, the list
  • In the search bar, type the name of the municipality:
  • For the date, the filter by year is on the left.
